PrimeCare licence

Details about this licence

On by default — 2 extra years of PrimeCare extended warranty, software & support on top of the year in the box (3 years cover in total). Untick for hardware only.

PrimeCare is Peplink vendor care for the licence term — not a separate GMTS “3-year warranty” SKU. It covers:

  • Extended hardware warranty, firmware/software updates, and technical support
  • InControl 2 cloud management
  • SpeedFusion Connect (SFC, formerly SpeedFusion Cloud): Peplink-hosted SpeedFusion endpoints so you can bond, smooth, or hot-failover WANs without a second Peplink at the far end

Active PrimeCare includes an SFC usage allowance. The quota depends on the router tier. After that allowance, SFC keeps running at a reduced speed unless you add extra SFC capacity. Hardware-only quotes keep the year in the box and do not add a care or SFC line.

Optional extras

Virtual WAN licence

Off by default. Ticked extras add as a separate quote line.

Indoor multi-WAN router with built-in 5G plus two wired WANs — Starlink and cellular cover each other. Request a quote.

The cheapest way to stop a single dead link taking a site offline. 5G is built in, and there are two wired WAN ports on top, so a Starlink terminal and a cellular plan can both feed the router and fail over between themselves automatically.

Description

  • Peplink B One 5G (B-ONE-5GN-T-PRM) for sheds, small branches, vessels, and vehicles that need real multi-WAN without a rack-mount box.
  • SpeedFusion hot failover, smoothing, and bonding (PrimeCare).
  • QoS by application, voice, or video. Web admin, Peplink app, or InControl.
  • Firmware supported for the life of the product (Peplink).
  • Recommended users 1–150.

Wi-Fi

  • Wi-Fi 6, 2×2 MIMO, simultaneous dual-band (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz).
  • AP and/or Wi-Fi WAN.
  • 2× RP-SMA Wi-Fi antenna connectors.
  • AP controller (30 APs standard; 50 with licence add-on).

Modem

  • 1× embedded 5G modem with a redundant SIM slot.
  • Nano-SIM (4FF), Peplink eSIM, bring-your-own eSIM (2 profiles).
  • RemoteSIM / FusionSIM on hardware version 2 or above.
  • 4× SMA cellular connectors. Extra WAN via USB-C.

Speeds

  • Router throughput 1 Gbps — the WAN is the ceiling, not the router.
  • SpeedFusion: 400 Mbps unencrypted / 200 Mbps 256-bit AES.
  • Cellular max theoretical: 5G 3.4 Gbps down / 900 Mbps up; LTE Cat-20 1.6 Gbps / 200 Mbps. Peak radio rates are not a site guarantee.
  • 2× gigabit Ethernet WAN and 4× gigabit LAN.

Power

  • DC 10–30 V; bundled 12 V 3 A 4-pin supply (ACW-672).
  • 7 W nominal, 19 W max without USB-C output (Peplink).
  • Operating temperature −40°C to 45°C.

Where it fits

  • Below Balance 310 5G. Choose B One 5G for a small site that needs 5G plus two wired WANs.
  • Not the right pick if you have one internet connection and no plan to add a second — multi-WAN is the point.
  • Step up to Balance 310 5G for a LAN core and PoE, or BR1 Pro 5G when the box has to live on a vehicle tray.

Pair it with

  • Mobility or Maritime antenna for usable cellular away from town.
  • SD Switch for the LAN, UniFi AP where the site Wi-Fi is already UniFi.
  • Starlink Mini kit or Performance kit as a wired WAN.

Request a quote.

Use cases

  • Desktop/small-rack 5G Peplink — the router inside both performance compact cellular kits.
  • Coastal vessel or yard office that wants SpeedFusion without a vehicle-tray MAX.
  • Pair Maritime 40G at sea or Mobility 40G on land; bond Starlink on Ethernet.

Deep dive

The cheapest way to stop a single dead link taking a site offline. 5G is built in, and there are two wired WAN ports on top, so a Starlink terminal and a cellular plan can both feed the router and fail over between themselves automatically. Peplink rates routing throughput at 1 Gbps, so the router won't be your ceiling — the WAN will. 5G runs off an eSIM profile or either of two physical SIMs, so it can be provisioned before the hardware ships and the carrier changed without opening the case. Specification • 1 Gbps routing throughput, built-in 5G modem • Dual wired WAN — Starlink, fibre, cable or fixed wireless • eSIM profiles or two physical SIM slots • Wi-Fi 6 onboard; also controls one additional access point • Extra WAN via USB-C • SpeedFusion bonding and hot failover — holds VoIP and video across a link change • QoS by application, voice or video • Web admin, Peplink app or InControl cloud management • Firmware supported for the life of the product Where it fits Below the Balance 310 5G. Choose B One 5G for a shed, small branch, vessel or vehicle that needs real multi-WAN but not a rack-mount box. Step up to Balance 310 5G when the site needs a LAN core, or a MAX Transit Duo Pro when two independent cellular modems matter more than wired WAN. Not the right pick if you have one internet connection and no plan to add a second — the multi-WAN is the whole point. Pair it with A Mobility or Maritime antenna for usable cellular away from town, an SD Switch for the LAN, and a UniFi AP where the site Wi-Fi is already UniFi. Warranty Three years extended warranty, software and support. The device ships with one year; the bundled PrimeCare tier adds two.
