The BR1 Pro 5G is the rugged single-modem MAX: one 5G radio, Wi-Fi 6, a 2.5G Ethernet WAN, and SpeedFusion so Starlink and cellular can cover each other without anyone touching the box. It is the core of a performance rugged kit with Antenna Max, and the step below BR2 Pro when you only need one cellular path.
Description
- Peplink MAX BR1 Pro 5G (MAX-BR1-PRO-5GN-T-PRM).
- Ignition sensing and 10–30 V DC for vehicle and plant trays.
- Fits Antenna Max (non-PoE routers use Splitter Max on the Ethernet run).
- Recommended users 1–150 (Peplink).
Wi-Fi
- Wi-Fi 6, 2×2 MU-MIMO, simultaneous dual-band (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz).
- AP and/or Wi-Fi WAN.
- 2× RP-SMA Wi-Fi antenna connectors.
- Built-in AP controller (30 APs standard; 50 with licence add-on).
Modem
- 1× embedded 5G modem with redundant SIM slots.
- Nano-SIM (4FF), Peplink eSIM, and bring-your-own eSIM (2 profiles, firmware 8.4+).
- RemoteSIM / FusionSIM on hardware version 2 or above.
- 4× SMA cellular plus 1× SMA GPS.
Speeds
- Router throughput 1 Gbps (Peplink).
- SpeedFusion: 400 Mbps unencrypted / 200 Mbps 256-bit AES.
- Cellular max theoretical: 5G 4.1 Gbps down / 900 Mbps up; LTE Cat-20 2 Gbps / 211 Mbps. Peak radio rates are not a site guarantee.
- 1× 2.5G Ethernet WAN and 2× gigabit LAN (WAN can be used as LAN).
Power
- DC 10–30 V; AC adapter 100–240 V to 12 V.
- 8 W nominal, 19 W max (Peplink).
- Operating temperature −40°C to 65°C.
Where it fits
- Vehicles, plant, and exposed marine trays that need one 5G path plus a wired WAN (Starlink, fibre, or shore).
- Step up to BR2 Pro when two independent 5G modems matter; Transit Duo Pro when the install is a vehicle with dual LTE; B One 5G when the site is indoor and you want two wired WANs in a quieter box.
Pair it with
- Antenna Max or Mobility 42G for the cellular / Wi-Fi / GPS elements.
- Splitter Max when the router has no PoE in and the only run is Ethernet.
- Starlink Mini or Standard as a WAN; Virtual WAN licences if you need extra VLAN WANs.
