This Privacy Policy explains how Global Marine Technology Services Limited (“GMTS”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and stores personal information. We handle personal information under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

2. What we collect
Information you give us: name, company, role, email, phone, delivery address, quote and order details, dealer-account credentials, and the content of messages or support tickets.
Information collected in use of the site: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, quote-basket activity, and dealer currency preference. See our Cookie Policy.
Information from others: carriers, manufacturers, payment providers, Xero, HubSpot, and similar tools we use to quote, invoice, and support you.
3. How we use it
- To respond to quotes, orders, RMA, and support.
- To run dealer accounts, the portal, and GMTS Connect where you have access.
- To invoice, take payment, and meet tax and accounting duties.
- To improve the site and our services.
- To send service messages. Marketing email only where we have a lawful basis (including consent where required); you can opt out.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it with service providers who help us operate (hosting, email, CRM, accounting, freight, payment), with manufacturers when an RMA or licence requires it, and where the law requires disclosure. Those parties have their own terms.
5. Holding and security
We keep information only as long as needed for the purpose we collected it, including legal and accounting retention. We use access controls and encrypted connections. No internet transmission is guaranteed fully secure.
6. Your rights (NZ)
You may ask for access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you. Email info@gmts.io. You may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner if you are not satisfied with our response.
7. Overseas storage
Some providers (for example email, CRM, analytics, or cloud platforms) may store or process information outside New Zealand. We take reasonable steps so that information is protected in a way that is comparable to the Privacy Act.
8. Children
The site is intended for businesses and adult purchasers, not for children.
9. Changes
We may update this page. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use of the site after a posting is acceptance of the revised policy for future use.
