The A+T ATPX (ATP2X) is the advanced version of the ATP2 processor. It keeps the ATP2 architecture of a single powered Ethernet backbone linking interface boxes and displays, with 100 Hz calculations, webserver set-up and integral heel, pitch, rate gyro and barometric sensors.
It adds a dedicated Ethernet port for two-way Modbus communication with the ship's PLC, typically the alarm and monitoring system, so instrument data can be sent to the ship's systems and engine, load or other PLC controlled data can be shown on the sailing displays. A Node-RED layer allows custom variables and logic to be written by the user or with help from A+T, and all variables and sensors are logged internally at 100 Hz.
