This is the digital version of the A+T 500 series horizontal wind sensor. It has the same carbon wand, carbon vane, ceramic bearings, 0.2 degree calibration and conductive graphite loaded body as the analogue ATHMU05, but outputs raw, undamped wind data at 20 Hz as NMEA0183HS at 38,400 baud ($WIMWV sentence). A+T offers an optional converter (ATN2KC1) to put the data on an NMEA 2000 compatible network.
The digital sensor suits processors and systems that accept high speed NMEA0183, including A+T processors. It mounts on the standard B&G 213 style bracket. A+T Instruments is not affiliated with B&G or Navico; B&G product names are used for compatibility reference only.
