The A+T bronze shut-off gate valve allows speed and depth sensors to be inserted and removed from the hull with no water ingress, and is used on many large sailing and motor superyachts to meet class or survey requirements. A+T states it is now the only manufacturer of these valves. Each valve is pressure tested and issued with a test certificate for 5 bar. It is compatible with the A+T SOV speed and depth sensors. On steel, aluminium or carbon hulls the A+T isolation kit (ATSOVIS) is required.
