Challenge & Our Solution
Working from afar, we implemented a streamlined connectivity setup centered around a Peplink BR1 Pro 5G router, backed by Peplink Maritime 20G antennas, to aggregate multiple data sources. The primary connection combines cellular and Starlink High Performance Flat Panel, delivering excellent speed and coverage even in isolated areas. To ensure continuous operation, we added Iridium GO! as a rugged satellite failover—keeping residents and guests connected even under extreme weather conditions or network interruptions.
Key Benefits
- Simple Remote Deployment: Site staff can install the system onsite while GMTS engineers configure it remotely, reducing travel and downtime.
- Unified Network Control: The Peplink interface offers all system controls in one platform—making it easy for users to manage connectivity and settings.
- Proven Performance: This configuration delivered consistent high-speed internet offshore, meeting user expectations for streaming, communication, and real-time updates.
This successful implementation inspired us to replicate the setup aboard a 51 ft sailing catamaran operating in the same region—delivering rapid, user-friendly internet access with integrated satellite backup.
